We got a wooden side gate and fence on each side of our house. Although we weren't here when the guys put it up (probably our first mistake!) it looked like a nice job. Now after the heavy rains, all the nails they have used are leaving black streaks on the wood. I presume this is the first sign of rust etc.
I'm not a woodworker but the brother in law says that the lads should have used Galvanized Nails.
