Default Equity Release - Good or Bad

I have read and seen much about equity release in the press and on TV recently, but wanted to find out more as I wanted to have a holiday and stop my children from paying huge amounts of inheritence tax by givingthem most of the money they will get now.

I looked at 3 companies, http://keyrs.co.uk, Equity Release - Unlock the equity in your home and Hodge Equity Release -- Looking Forward To An Active Retirement.

It appears to me to be above board and regulated, am I right or is there any danger?
